Making Sense of Section 301 Tariffs

Making Sense of Section 301 Tariffs

Determine if the Trump Administration tariffs will affect your business and the insurance bonds needed to manage your US importing efforts.

Use the free Section 301 Tariff Lookup Tool to see if the Trump tariffs might impact your business. You can look up the HTSUS codes that matter to your importing activities and determine if they are included in those subject to import tariffs.

HOW IT WORKS:

You type in an HTSUS code in the appropriate format and hit enter. If this HTSUS code is included on one of the 3 lists currently published by the US Trade Representative, the spreadsheet will identify which list, let you know what the current or proposed duty rate is for that HTSUS code, and let you know any current updates on it.

As an added bonus, an importer can also input the annual value they import of that specific HTSUS code.

The spreadsheet will then do the math to see what bond size they need for that one commodity. If they do not already have a bond at that bond size, they already know they can expect an increase.” Thank you, and let me know if you have any questions about the tool.
